The Dalai Lama tells us, "Happiness is the purpose of your life!"
What makes us happy almost all the time?
Most people say things like money, family, fame, success, travel, etc.
According to an article at ProjectHappiness.org, entitled Science of Happiness, "Scientific research has turned its focus on how happiness can be sustained and even increased. Research has confirmed that through intentional practices, we can actually change the neural pathways of our brain to become happier. In fact, only 10% of our happiness is due to our external circumstances and a full 90% is based on our inner environment."
Project Happiness has many resources and guidance to help un gain and maintain our happiness!
The end goal for each of us should the same ‒ to become the happiest we can be in our lives. Yet, in spite of the fact that we have one of the highest standards of living in the world, the level of happiness among Americans is now at a fifty year low, according to a 2020 University of Chicago survey. There are numerous scientific studies to determine the answer to this happiness issue.
One such study indicates that Happines is contagious! It effects those around you plus their circles as well! Happiness comes not from a life of success, sought by climbing the corporate ladder, but from a life of significance, achieved by fulfilling our true purpose and helping others.
There is so very much valid research telling us that a high level of stable happiness will improve our physical and mental health!
